Sharon Caddell
Ms. Sharon Caddell is Tuscaloosa’s own, Daycare Lady, and has been in childcare for over 45 years. She started as a classroom teacher for 3-year-olds and worked her way up to pre-k. In 1991 she received a promotion that gave her the opportunity to grow her love for children and start something special for herself. She now owns 3 childcare facilities in Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas as well as opened 8 other facilities for others. She is very hands-on and in-person with all of these facilities. Her goal is to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children in our community in a high-quality program. She is committed to training and developing future and current teachers and exemplifies this in all centers. She is the proud mother of 3 adult children and multiple bonus children. She is also the grandmother of 13, who affectionately call her Nana. She has dedicated over a decade to her community in childcare, entrepreneurship, and all-around love to anyone. She is known to never meet a stranger. You may see her around, don’t be afraid to speak, she will engage you in conversation of encouragement and love. Tot World Incorporated includes 3 child development centers that are licensed by the state of Alabama. Kiddie World is a facility that is in the heart of Tuscaloosa. Kiddie Cove is a facility on the line of Cottondale and Tuscaloosa. Kidsville is a facility that is in Northport. We look forward to providing your child with a clean, safe, loving, and happy environment for them to grow. These centers were founded on the principle that children learn the best through play. Therefore, singing, dancing, reading, and free play will always be part of your child’s everyday activities. One of the greatest gifts we can give your child(ren) is a love for learning; to achieve this, we will fill your child’s day with exciting activities that will further stimulate their development. We want your child to leave us not only prepared for kindergarten, but eager to learn more about the world in which they live. We employ loving caregivers and educators. We strive to meet the specific needs of each child and will do so until we no longer can. You, the parent, are the primary caregiver, and we support you as your child develops and matures to their maximum potential. We are strong believers in a team effort in caring for your child, working together to make sure your child’s needs are met, learning activities, etc.
Our centers have an Open Door Policy to parents of enrolled children, where are welcome to “pop in” and visit/observe your child. Our centers encourage parents to participate in our monthly themes and events to help our children explore the world.
We pride ourselves in providing your child(ren) with a hot, healthy and nutritious meal every day at no extra cost to you. All meals are free for our students and include breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. We encourage healthy eating habits, and all meals include fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grain options, and a variety of protein. We believe that children are a gift from God. We will do everything in our power to meet their needs and support them as they develop and mature into the person God has created them to be.
